Drawing on strategies from Aspen’s Digital Summer Youth Employment Toolkit 2.0, released in December, this discussion-based session will facilitate peer learning and exchange among city policymakers, systems leaders and intermediaries and youth employment practitioners.

Come prepared to share successes, challenges, and promising practices from your community context. How can we address the technology divide? What works to develop and implement partnerships with employers in a virtual setting? How can we ensure high-quality work experiences for all young people?

The Aspen Institute Forum for Community Solutions, Center for Law and Social Policy (CLASP), National League of Cities (NLC), and National Youth Employment Coalition (NYEC) invite you to a three-part learning series on summer youth employment programs (SYEP). The resilience demonstrated by many communities to adapt to the triple pandemic of COVID-19, the economic crisis, and historical racial injustice offers lessons on how to advance equitable career opportunities for young people this coming summer and year-round.
