In communities across the country, summer youth employment programs (SYEP) play an important role preparing young people for careers. Research shows that these programs improve the economic, academic and behavioral outcomes for youth and young adults in low-income communities. However, with Covid-19 social distancing requirements, implementing SYEP this summer will require new and innovative strategies and approaches.
Join leaders from communities from the Opportunity Youth Forum, Communities Collaborating to Reconnect Youth Network and JP Morgan Chase grantee network, who are leading the way in tackling this challenge with resilience, including: Boston, Detroit, Los Angeles, and Philadelphia. Targeting youth employment training providers, workforce systems leaders, funders, and policymakers, this interactive webinar will highlight specific examples of strategies, tactics and resources and create a space to exchange ideas about how to solve common challenges.
